Now that I have graduated, passed the NCMHCE, am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and received my license as a registered mental health counseling intern in the state of Florida (license # IMH 18176), I am currently accumulating the required supervised hours need for full licensure as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). I am currently practicing my counseling skills as a volunteer counselor with the Eye of the Horse, one of my internship sites, in order to continue receiving training in this specialty of counseling. I have recently joined the staff at one of my other internship sites, BOAT, and will be earning my hours there as well.
My long term goal is to open an animal and nature-assisted counseling center in Brevard County. I hope to bring this type of counseling service to individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, though my primary focus is on adults who have been diagnosed with ASD, substance use disorder, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
